Fulton County Information Technology department is led by Ms. Sallie Wright, and as CIO, Sallie is responsible for establishing technology best practices, standardization and guidance for the largest county in Georgia, and advises the county manager and all elected officials on technology direction. She previously served as Deputy Chief Information Officer for Georgia State University and held executive roles at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, the University of North Carolina and within the private sector.
In her presentation Sallie discussed how her 30 years of experience in information technology leadership have helped her in the age of digital transformation provide a wide range of technology related services and support to all county agencies. Sallie had a great story to tell that was interesting, relevant and very insightful.
Vicki Rogers has over 20 years of IT experience. She has expertise in service management, change management and leadership development. She has helped organizations create service desks, implement ITIL, and insource IT. Vicki is completing her doctorate in leadership and organizational development at the University of Georgia. Her research involved spending the last 5 years working with the University System of Georgia in cultivating and developing women leaders in IT.
In her presentation Vicki outlined how ITSM is about aligning delivery of services with the business and discussed steps on how that can be achieved. Attendees thought her presentation to be informative, relevant and very engaging.
