Maha Mahadevan, President & CEO
Maha is responsible for the overall vision,
leadership and direction of BOSS. With over 25 years of experience in
the IT industry Maha has positioned BOSS to be a leader in the network
infrastructure visibility business. This includes inventory
discovery and management, compliance regulations, and mitigating risks
for his customers with a fully integrated Service Desk. Maha’s
leadership style puts the customer first and focuses on the achievement
of results in challenging, dynamic technology environments.
He has attracted highly talented people to the company
and has won their trust and confidence.
Maha co-founded the company as an
Atlanta-based solutions company and has run the business for the past 17
years serving customers worldwide. BOSS is a Microsoft GOLD Certified
Partner and ISV with competency in Advanced Infrastructure Solutions.
The product suite is aligned with the ITIL v3 framework (de facto
standard for service desk management).
BOSS is a SBA 8(a) certified small business
organization and our certificate is valid through 2011. Maha has
provided the company’s solutions to over 100 government agencies across
USA including universities, colleges, public schools & libraries.
Prior to founding BOSS, he was with Tatas, a prestigious consulting house in India and later on consulting with Unisys Corporation providing services and solutions to several major banks in US & Europe. Under his leadership, BOSS steered itself successfully to be a products and solutions company from being a Professional Services firm.
He is an active participant in the local business
community activities and is a member of the board of directors of
Southeastern Software Association of the Technology Association of GA.
He holds a Bachelors degree in Electronics & Electrical Engineering from
the Indian Institute of Science,
Bangalore, India and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
from the Indian Institute of
Technology, Bombay, India.
John Hayde, Executive VP & Corporate Strategy & Business Development
Throughout his career, Mr. Hayde has focused in the areas of Network remote access, wireless, Internet-based and e-commerce technologies. He has extensive experience in the technology industry building investment relationships, business partnerships, and new channels of distribution. As an innovator, he has authored and secured several patents in the security and internet marketplace.
Most recently, Mr. Hayde was the co-founder, President & CEO of Single Access Lock, Inc., developer of the world’s first wireless Network Lock. The company provides real-time remote management, alerts/activity reporting and control of building security via the Internet and Satellite networks. He spearheaded the establishment of strategic relationships with industry leaders, including ultimately the sale of the company to ASSA ABLOY, the world’s largest lock group in 2006.
Prior to SALOCK, Mr. Hayde was an Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing and co-founder of Thoughtmill Corp., an e-business engineering firm, where he helped launch over 100 new technology start-ups. From 1997 through 2001, Mr. Hayde was directly responsible for the innovative technology offerings and business development strategies that propelled Thoughtmill’s 400% a year growth. During that same time, formed ThoughtMill Ventures, a venture arm that fueled over 25 new start-ups. The list included Wall Street Journal named most successful IPO’s of 1998, ISSX & DLCK. Thoughtmill was acquired by ASC in Dec 2001.
Mr. Hayde previously held executive positions as Director of Business Development with Xircom and Digital Communications Associates-(DCA) in Cincinnati, New York and Atlanta with over $100 million revenue responsibility.
Hayde is a graduate of Miami University, where he majored in Business and Marketing. He holds a postgraduate honorary from Law’s Hall & Associates, an International program at Regents College, London, England.

Benn Konsynski PhD
Benn Konsynski is the George S. Craft Professor of Business Administration for Decision & Information Analysis. He arrived at the Goizueta Business School in 1993 following seven years on the faculty at the Harvard Business School where he taught in the MBA program and several executive programs. Prior to arriving at the Harvard Business School, he was a professor at the University of Arizona, where he was co-founder of the university's multi-million dollar group decision support laboratory. He was named Baxter Research Fellow at Harvard in 1989 and named Hewlett Fellow at the Carter Center in 1995.
He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Purdue University. Professor Konsynski specializes in issues of digital commerce and information technology in relationships across organizations. This work involves extensive domestic and international field work on interorganizational systems, digital commerce, electronic data interchange (EDI), channel systems, electronic integration, information partnerships, and the electronic marketplace.
He is the author of "Information Systems and Decision Processes". He has published in such diverse journals as Communications of the ACM, Harvard Business Review, IEEE Transactions on Communications, Management Science, MIS Quarterly, Journal of MIS, Data Communications, Decision Sciences, Decision Support Systems, Information Systems, and IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering. He has served as a consultant on management and technology issues with many organizations including UPS, IBM, AT&T, Northern Trust, Texas Instruments, U.S. Army, Bestfoods/Unilever, Northwestern Mutual Life, Ernst and Young, Bank of Montreal, Plasti-line, J.C. Penney, Aetna, TESSCO, and Dillard's Department Stores. He also serves on boards of directors and senior management advisor positions.
Klaas Baks, PhD:
Klaas Baks is a Professor of Finance at The Goizueta Business School at Emory University and the research director of the Emory Center for Private Equity and Hedge Funds. His research and teaching focuses on issues in venture capital, private equity, entrepreneurial finance and investment management, and he has published papers in a number of academic and business journals. Dr. Baks serves on the board of Triton Value Partners, an Atlanta based private equity firm, and on the board of a number of start-ups.
A doctoral graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in finance, Dr. Baks also holds a master's degree in economics from Brown University, a master's degree in econometrics from Groningen University, The Netherlands and a diploma in Japanese language and business studies from Leiden University, The Netherlands. Prior to joining Emory University, Dr. Baks held positions at Fuji Bank in Tokyo, Japan and Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong.
