BOSS Inventory provides an extensive array of functionalities that helps track and manage the computer and non-computer assets.
BOSS Support Central identifies all the computers in the network and communicates with the client computers through an agent that runs as a service causing little or no impact on the end-user computer. It gathers inventory from the computers and loads into the database. The depth of information collected is extensive and you can run reports to analyze the information collected.
The software management tab provides a consolidated view of various software applications installed across the organization. The interface also has provision to enter license count and details on the license type etc. One will be able to get an instant reconciliation on the procured licenses to installed licenses.
BOSS Inventory tracks non-computer assets as well. This can be printers, routers, Appliances, equipments etc. This information can be loaded into the CMDB thro an asset load option. Support Central provides a central console where one can track all information about the asset. This includes purchase info, bar-code, vendor/warranty, location, attached devices etc.
